These are the steps that are taken to process I-Lines request forms.
- Resolve *ALL* the IP's requested within and around the range requested for access.
- Look for inappropriate DNS entry names within and around the range requested.
- Inappropriate DNS Names Are
- Ridiculously long names.
- Dot sentences like: this.is.my.domain
- Swear words and inappropriate language.
- *Anything* that appears to promote "warez"/"hacking"/"abuse" or illegal activity.
- *Anything* that appears to promote degradation/false security/miss representation of authority of the IRC Network.
- Final judgment of inappropriate DNS entries are left to the Flamed IRC administrators and are final.
- Port scan selected IP's submitted for access to verify that no bots are running.
- Traceroute to your domain to verify your Internet link network provider.
- If need be contact your provider to verify information.
- Lookup your information with Internic and verify names.
- Review your company's acceptable use policy and abuse stance.
- Verify with EFnet bot records that your IP's/domain/names have not been in violation before.
